Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to show you all how to do a french braid. I decided to start off easy so you all can get a feel what more complex braiding is like. Also, a french braid is the base for other, more complex hairstyles so it is also a good braid to know so you can eventually do others. Taylor is going to be my model. So lets get started!
You are good to go! I suggest that you start this one on someone else to get a feel for it. Once you feel comfortable with the braid, then try on yourself. I will warn you though, I had some trouble the very first time I tried it on my self. It will take some practice :) Some other options you can do to the braid to spice it up a bit that a lot of girls are doing are adding waves to the braid. This gives it texture. You can accomplish this by curling you hair with a wand or curling iron, or by doing a simple three stranded braid the night before. Have fun braiding!

- First you want to brush your hair thoroughly so to get all the knots out.
- Tilt your head back and section the front of your hair into three pieces. You will complete one stitch like a regular braid. Outside strand over middle, and repeat with the other strand.
- Then the rest is fairly simple: For the second stitch, you will take the outside piece and cross it over to the middle, but this time, you will add hair from the rest of your head to the piece. Then you cross it over. You will to the same with the other side as well.
- Continue adding pieces of hair to the original piece until you get all the way down to the base of your head. From there, you will braid a regular braid.
- Finish off by tying off with an elastic.
- If you want, you can control flyways with hairspray.
