Hey guys!
I recently went to Arizona for my Mom's birthday. The restaurant we went to was called Talvera. It was by far the best restaurant I have ever been too. I will warn you though, it was pricy ($$$). They had so many exotic things on the menu. Barbecued octopus ( a personal favorite of mine), ahi poke (something we all love down here in Southern California), rabbit confe, sea bass, etc. All of their food was cooked to perfection. They were all rich in flavor and had been plated perfectly. You know how when you go to a restaurant and they bring out the bread? Well the bread they brought out was the best bread I have ever had. They were brought out in little pans. They were buttery, soft, and sprinkled with some sort of pink salt. And the butter had the pink salt on it as well. I ate two whole rolls. I still wonder how I had room for the rest of the meal!!

So this is a collage of all the appetizers that we ordered. Here is the order off all the pictures (from top to bottom). Barbecued octopus, ahi poke, rabbit confi, and scallops. All of these were rich in flavor and wonderfully presented. My favorite was the barbecued octopus.
This was the main course. Here are all of their names from top to bottom: Ahi poke, scallops, sea bass, mac and cheese with steak. ribeye steak, and filet mignion. I had the ahi poke. It had a fried wonton between the fish and the avocado. The avocado was so fresh. I also had bites of some of the other plates. My second favorite was the ribeye steak. It was perfectly cooked and tender.
This was the view at sunset. It was the most gorgeous view I have ever seen. The way the light was scattered across the desert mountains was amazing. So not only did this restaurant have amazing food, the service as also excellent. They were so friendly and nice. Overall I have no bad comments. It was amazing and I recommend you try it. :)
